Classroom Connection: Ms Rosenzweig's Cooking Class with The Kids' Table

What better way to celebrate the holiday season than with a cooking celebration with The Kids' Table!

That fabulous smell of minced garlic and basil was coming from Mrs. Rosenzweig's 5th Grade Class. Students got to measure, chop, mix and blend ingredients for their Tomato and Alfredo Pasta Bowl & Tropical Yogurt Parfait Holiday Luncheon.

Students were thoroughly engaged and actively participated during the afternoon activities. We hope you have a Happy Holiday and New Year!!!
Girl Scout Cookies on Sale!

It's Cookie Time, It's Cookie Time!

Skinner West's very own Brownie Troop is selling Girl Scout cookies this month only.  If you're interested in purchasing cookies, please email and she will share details on how to purchase from the girls.

Each box is $5.00, with proceeds going to support ongoing Brownie Troop events like cleaning up Skinner Park and partnering with local non-profits. You can purchase boxes to be sent to active military if you don't want them for yourself. Descriptions of the cookies being sold can be found here

The cookies will be delivered to school for convenient pick up in February.

Skinner West's troop goal is to sell 1,300 boxes this month, so every little bit helps!

CNA presented Skinner West Elementary with a $40,000 check in celebration of 40 years of partnership with our Superstars!  Mrs. Clark has approval from the LSC to use half of those funds to purchase brand new computers for our new computer lab in the annex.  The Primary Chorus students sang holiday songs and enjoyed a holiday lunch after their performance.

  Debate Team Tournament Results
The Skinner West Debate Team participated in the Chicago Middle School Debate League's Tournament Two for the 2018-2019 season on Saturday, December 1.
