Principal Appreciation Week (Oct. 16-20th)
Dear CPS Community,
Our principals do such great work that they deserve our thanks every day of the year - but we and our partners want to make a special effort to thank them during Principal Appreciation Week, starting Oct. 16.
Our principals are the heart and soul of our school communities, and are a huge part of why Chicago students are thriving. Now you have a chance to show these outstanding school leaders how much they are appreciated.
- An overview of the ways to get involved;
- Sample emails to encourage people to participate in the campaign and/or sign the digital thank you;
- Sample social media messages;
- Sample video scripts
- Contact information for those who are helping make this effort a success.
Please remember to use #principalprideCHI when posting on social media, and please share this email with anyone who is interested in thanking a principal during this week of recognition.
This is our chance to show school leaders that we truly understand their value. A chance to tell them that the work they are doing each day on behalf of Chicago's children has not gone unnoticed. We hope you will use the attached resources to express your gratitude and help make Principal Appreciation Week - October 16-20 - the celebration that Chicago's school leaders deserve.
