Welcome to the Skinner Local School Council Please join us! The Skinner West - Classical, Fine Arts and Technology School Local School Council (LSC) hold their regular meetings on the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 PM at the school. These meetings are open to everyone. The Skinner West LSC welcomes and encourages the participation of parents, community members, teachers and neighbors. You can contact any LSC member to request an item be placed on the LSC Meeting agenda. You can also attend meetings and speak at the open forum at every regular meeting. The Skinner West LSC encourages parents, teachers and community members to participate by serving on committees that work to improve school life. Establish committees to carry out ongoing functions required of the LSC, including a School Improvement Planning Committee (SIP Committee) to develop and monitor the two year stream-lined Continuous Improvement Work Plan (CIWP)
Approve or ask the SIP Committee for amendments to the CIWP and make recommendations on allocation of teaching resources based on CIWP goals
To make recommendations to the principal on textbook selection and curriculum, as long as those recommendations are consistent with the curriculum objectives of the Board of Education
