Gallery 111 Mosaic Project

Gallery 111 would like to thank everyone involved in helping to make our massive mosaic project a reality! It represents all the cultures that make our diverse school community so special.

Our Superstars worked hard to help design, cut and place the tiles.  Our parents and community members purchased tiles and made donations throughout the project.  Everyone who participated in our student art shows or the Spring silent auction gala, we thank you.

It is because of all your contributions that Gallery 111 was able to leave an artistic mark on our community and school forever!

Skinner Superstars in Cuba

Skinner Superstars Aidan Letourneau and Roman Marsh played soccer in Cuba this past summer as part of a cultural exchange.  They joined their Chicago KICS United soccer club as the first Chicago soccer team to ever play in Cuba.  In addition to challenging Cuban all stars, the boys helped strengthen cultural relations between the two countries through their interactions in the cities of Cardenas and Havana.  Congratulations to our Superstars for proudly representing Chicago.

Karate Kids

The Karate team started the school year with a bang!
They traveled to Lebanon IN to compete in the Ronin Classic and competed in the Traditional Warrior in Country Club Hills; both events on Saturday!
They earned 15 - 1st places, 8 - 2nd places and 6 - 3rd places, competing in Kata (forms) Kumite (sparring), Kobudo(weapons) & Chanbara (sport sword).

Get Involved with PTO

PTO is planning a Halloween carnival for students and families in October. The event was a huge hit last year, and we'd love to have your help making it even better this year. Please email if you're interested in helping to plan, can volunteer some time to design posters or decorate, or if you have any connections to local businesses that might donate activities or goods for the event. Mark your calendars for our next PTO meeting on Tuesday, October 17th, at 6:00 pm in the library. And don't forget, you can always support PTO through
